What makes Lorcana Championship Promos collectable
The top of that ladder began with the Disney Lorcana Challenge, a circuit of large tournaments launched in May 2024 across North America, Europe and Oceania, followed by continental Championships and the first World Championship at Walt Disney World in June 2025. Prize cards are tied to how far a player progresses, from attendance cards handed to everyone through to cards reserved for the final few tables.
The first season's prizes were collected as Challenge Set 1, using the set code C1 and a dedicated organised-play symbol. Cards such as Dragon Fire went to every attendee, Let It Go to players with a strong Swiss record, and Cinderella - Stouthearted and Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing to deeper finishers. The headline card was a gold foil, serialised Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor, numbered out of 500 and given to the top four (or top eight at the biggest events).
The European and North American Championships added another tier of foil, extended-art prizes such as Invited to the Ball, Elsa's Ice Palace, Kuzco and Baymax, tied to participation, top 32, top 16 and top 8 finishes. At the very top sits a one-of-one golden World Champion 2025 Brave Little Tailor, given only to the first world champion, Dinh Khang Pham. Store-level Set Championships also hand out their own promos, which are far more common.
Scarcity follows placement closely. Attendance promos can number in the thousands, while top-cut cards were limited to a few dozen players per event, and the serialised Mickey has a fixed run. Ravensburger also put some prizes, in non-foil form, on event prize walls, so collectors should check the exact version before buying. Values on the rarest cards are driven by very thin supply rather than gameplay.
What drives the value
- Placement tier: cards reserved for top 8 or top 4 finishers are far scarcer than attendance promos.
- Serial numbering: the gold Brave Little Tailor has a fixed run of 500, and low or special numbers attract extra interest.
- Foil versus non-foil: some prizes were also available in non-foil from prize walls, and the foil top-cut versions are generally the more desirable.
- Event provenance: cards linked to the first Challenge season, Championships or the World Championship carry historical appeal.
- Character and art: popular characters such as Elsa, Mickey and Rapunzel in extended or full art draw collector demand beyond players.
- Grading: given how few exist, high-grade examples of top-cut promos are especially scarce.
How to spot the real thing
- Check the collector number for a C-series code such as 1/C1 to 5/C1 rather than a normal set number.
- Look for the dedicated organised-play symbol and the full-art or extended-art foil frame used on Challenge and Championship prizes.
- For the serialised Mickey, confirm the gold foil finish and a serial number printed out of 500.
- Confirm whether a card is the foil top-cut version or the non-foil prize-wall version before comparing prices.
- Ask the seller for event provenance where possible, as fakes of high-value promos exist.

How many serialised gold Mickey Mouse Brave Little Tailor cards exist?
