How to start collecting Pokémon cards
Collecting Pokémon cards is a lot of fun, and you don't need lots of cards to start. Here's how to get going.
1. Pick what you want to collect
Some collectors try to get every card from one set. Others collect their favourite Pokémon, or one type, like Fire or Water. Choosing a goal makes collecting more exciting, because you always know which card you're hunting for next.
2. Keep a checklist
Every set on Pully has a checklist. Tap “+ Have” next to each card you own and your list is saved on this device. You can see your list on the collection page.
3. Learn to read your cards
At the bottom of each card there's a number like 25/165 and a small symbol. The number tells you which card it is in the set, and the symbol tells you how rare it is. Our rarity guide explains every symbol.
4. Look after them
Keep your favourite cards in sleeves and a binder so they stay flat and clean. Read how to look after your cards.
5. Trade fairly
Swapping doubles with friends is one of the best parts of collecting. Read our tips for fair trading.
Young collectors: always ask a parent or carer before buying cards, trading online or sharing anything about yourself on the internet.
