About this card
Pikachu SM98 is card SM98 in SM Black Star Promos (248 numbered cards, plus 2 secret rares). It's one of 251 Promo cards in the set — 100% of 251. There are 134 English cards named “Pikachu”. This is the 59th; the first was in Base Set (1999). It has 60 HP. Saya Tsuruta illustrated 3 cards in SM Black Star Promos and 124 English cards in total.
It isn't legal in the 2026–27 Standard format, so demand comes mainly from collectors.
Is Pikachu SM98 worth anything?
We don't have a live market price for this card at the moment. The price you'll get in the UK depends mostly on condition: check the corners, edges and surface, and whether the artwork is well centred. Damaged cards sell for much less, while professionally graded copies in top condition can sell for far more.
To be sure you have the right card, match the set symbol and the number SM98 printed at the bottom of your card. There are 213 different Pikachu cards, so the number matters. Then compare completed eBay UK listings — sold prices, not asking prices — for copies in similar condition.
