Pikachu is a Lightning-type Pokémon with 53 cards in the newest Pokémon sets. Here's every new Pikachu card, which sets to look in, and the rarest one to hunt for.

Pokédex number: #25

Type: Lightning

New cards: 53

New sets: 9

Most HP: 240

Cards ever made: 213

Lightning Pokémon are full of electricity, just like Pikachu. Their Energy symbol is a yellow lightning bolt.

How does Pikachu evolve?

Pikachu can evolve into Raichu.

The rarest new Pikachu card

The rarest is Pikachu ex 179/131 from Prismatic Evolutions, a Hyper Rare card. Three gold stars. Shiny gold cards, and one of the rarest kinds in a set.

Strongest and smallest

The Pikachu card with the most HP (hit points) is Pikachu & Zekrom-GX from 30th Celebration: Classic Collection with 240 HP. The one with the least is Pikachu from 30th Celebration: Classic Collection with 40 HP. More HP means a Pokémon can take more damage before it's knocked out.

Pikachu has 14 “ex” cards in the newest sets. Pokémon ex are big, powerful cards — but if one is knocked out, your opponent takes two Prize cards instead of one.
